Robert “Bob” Marino, 84, of Carillon in Plainfield, at rest July 29, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Marchetti); loving father of Lisa (William) Skrapka, Robert (Patricia) and Kristin Marino; devoted grandfather of Marikate (Molly) Marino-Escobar, Jack (Zoe), Frankie (Kelsey) Skrapka, Lily and Sam (Sadie Briggs) Marino. Preceded in death by his parents, Babe and Bernadette and one sister, Joan Dote; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Armed Forces. Bob was born and raised in Chicago and worked many years as a truck driver for various companies. He loved golf, Blackhawks, White Sox and the Green Bay Packers but not necessarily in that order. He and his wife, Mary, moved to Oak Park when their kids started school and enjoyed coaching his son’s baseball teams. Later they moved to The Carillon community in Plainfield and enjoyed their retirement.  Visitation Friday, July 31, 2026 from 10-11:30 A.M. At Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 8404 S. Cass Ave., Darien,  followed by an 11:30 Funeral Mass. Arrangements entrusted to Cappetta’s West Suburban Funeral Home, Westmont & Downers Grove. Interment private.
