I was so saddened to hear of Sandi’s death. We talked and texted frequently this past year. She was a great help to me concerning information about her father Merle while I was writing about some family history in a memoir. Several years ago we met in Illinois and Sandi gave me a surprise gift..a long scarf handknitted by herself. Another time we were to meet along with cousin Janice but she wouldn’t leave her old dog because the dog was ailing. I have fond memories of her along with all our cousins during Christmastime at our grandparents when there were so many of us we slept on the floor in the dining room. I am so sorry her past years were not so kind and I will miss our funny conversations.

I had the pleasure of meeting Sandy through my grandson Nicholas Abraham. Sandy was good friend to Nicholas. Het heart was pure and she stopped at nothing to try teaching Nicholas on what course he should be following. She also was a good listener for me when needed.I will miss you so much my angei and when time comes for me, I surely would want to see you again. Love you so much.

Over the years, I have enjoyed many phone calls checking in on family and although so far away was able to see her in person when I came to the area. On one visit she took me to see Merle’s site and there we were wandering around in the middle of the night with flashlights. I will truly miss her calls and photos and you all have my condolences.
