Theodore Samuel Selnes, 54 of Westmont, suddenly passed away on Tuesday March 12, 2024. Theodore was the beloved son of Mary & Theodore J. Selnes and the loving brother to Timothy (Denise) and the late Tamara Kathleen Selnes. Ted attended Westmont High School where he excelled in track and wrestling. During Ted’s senior year he was awarded most valuable player and senior athlete of the year. Ted was a caddy at Hinsdale Golf Course where he became very interested in the game of golf. Ted loved playing golf at different golf courses with his dad and brother. When time permitted Ted and his dad enjoyed going fishing together creating many fond memories being together in the outdoors. Ted was a fantastic cook, who liked trying new recipes and making all kinds of dishes. Ted was an animal lover, his favorite pet he loved very much was a rescue dog named Jeepers. She was a Great Pyrenes Mix, with big blue eyes who loved to snuggle and play with Ted. In honor of Ted a memorial visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, March 21st, 2024, at Cappetta’s West Suburban Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 4920 Main St., Downers Grove, IL 60515. Graveside Services will be at 10:00am on Friday, March 22nd, 2024, at Clarendon Hills Cemetery. Friends and Family are asked to meet directly at the cemetery front entrance.
