Suzanne (Sue) McArdle was born July 21, 1932 in Chicago, IL to Ethel and Peter McArdle. She was the middle of their three children.
Sue married Hugh Ferguson on November 19, 1955. They were married 51 wonderful years and lived in Franklin Park, IL, Elmhurst, IL and Darien, IL. Hugh passed away on June 18, 2006 and Sue moved to Lisle, IL after the passing of her husband.
Sue was a loving wife and mother who raised 8 children. She was an active member of various Catholic parishes in Elmhurst, Darien, and Lisle, IL. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Hugh and close friends Richard and Dolores Browne. Sue and Hugh also enjoyed many evenings of playing cards with the Browne’s and other close friends and family.
Sue is survived by her children Kathleen Ferguson of Winfield, IL, Michael (Patti) Ferguson of Forest Park, IL, Julie (Douglas) Harden of Columbus, OH, Mary (Keith) Negley of Montgomery, IL, Corinne (Thomas) Urbas of Naperville, IL, Susan Ferguson of Forest Park, IL, Jeffery (Susan) Ferguson of Plainfield, IL, and Kevin Ferguson of Aurora, IL: her six Grandchildren Kate (Ryan Lange) Bak, Timothy (Linden) Urbas, Elizabeth Urbas, Ryan (Emily) Ferguson, Hailey Negley, and Aidan Ferguson; and Great-grandchild Riley Lange. Sue is also survived by many Ferguson nieces and nephews and their large extended families in Houston, TX.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh, her sister Marianne McArdle, her brother and sister-in-law John and Donna McArdle, and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Donald and Mary Joan Ferguson.
Services to be held on Saturday June 6, 2026 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. 820 Division St., Lisle, IL 60532. 10:30-11:30 AM visitation; 11:30 AM Funeral Mass.
Private Internment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date.
