Sunita Kaur Gill, affectionately known as “Cutie,” 67 years old, of Westmont, IL passed away on the morning of Friday September 4th, 2026. Sunita was the loving & devoted mother to Drs. Gurajit & Sunbir Singh Gill, who were both by her side until the end of her journey. She was the daughter of the late Sant Kumar & Prakash Kataria and is survived by her two sons, former husband Balbir Singh Gill, siblings (Adarsh Wadhawa & Kamal Kataria), and she was a proud Aunt to Sonia, Jeevan, Arun, Sahil, and Sarena.

She lived her life with a deeply nurturing spirit. She was a mother to everyone who crossed her threshold, welcoming all with an open heart. She found joy in life’s simplest blessings. She loved tending to and was extremely proud of her vibrant flower and vegetable gardens, chatting with her friends and family, thrifting at estate sales, and spending hours in the kitchen. She was known for making the most delicious and comforting food and believed in feeding anyone who visited, practicing a lifelong spirit of Seva (selfless service) through her hospitality. Her legacy of kindness and generosity, which she passed down to her children, will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew her.
