Rosa Maria DeAlba

May 08, 2026

Rosa MarieĀ  DeAlba, ‘Rosy’, daughter, wife, mother, and friend passed away suddenly on Wednesday May 6th, 2026, at 51 years old. She was beloved by all who knew her but especially loved by her family; husband Jesus, and daughters Jackie, Isabella and Sofia.

Born April 1st, 1975, in Chicago to Jesus and Maricela DeAlba, she brightened the world around her from her first breath, dazzling everyone with her sparkling blue eyes.

She once said that she had never wanted anything more than to be a mom, and her girls felt that dedication and love every day. A devoted mother, she did everything in her power for her girls, whether it was shopping for the last available toy they wanted, or buying the books they had mentioned once in passing. She approached every milestone in their lives with overflowing joy and open arms, always ready to give a warm hug and say how proud she was of them.

She believed in and loved her community, especially the one she formed with Girl Scouts. At one point a troop leader to three separate troops simultaneously, she loved nothing more than finding new patches, researching new craft ideas, and spending time with the girls in her troops.

A friend to all, she was always ready to lend a helping hand, show up for her people, and take care of others. With her sharp wit and overwhelming kindness, she always had exactly what you needed, whether it was a joke, a hug, or a story.

While she has now joined her mother in heaven, those who knew her, and especially her family, will always love and cherish her memory.
