Her passion was always art (Lincoln Park Studio, American Academy, Evanston Art Center and School of the Art Institute) with later study in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. (http://marysullivan.pixels.com/) She married Finian D. Taylor in 1999. Two years later they moved to Hilton Head Island, SC where she carried on with her art (abstract/expressionist), maintained a studio and exhibited in the local galleries, especially the H.H. Art League, Society of Bluffton Artists and others. All her life she was an ardent social justice activist, and a member of Hilton Head for Peace, Pax Christi H.H. and St. Francis parish. She was an avid participant in the D.R. Butler reading group, which had a great influence on her philosophy of life. She traveled to Western Europe, Italy and around the U.S.  She loved the outdoors, hiking, and photography. But most of all, she cherished living here with all her friends.

She is preceded in death by brothers Jack (Lois) and Donald (Carole), survived by her spouse, Finian D. Taylor, and sister Virginia (Chicago), brother Kenneth (Mary Ann) (Lancaster SC) and many nieces and nephews.
