Joseph Karban, 83, of Lisle, formerly of Lombard, at rest November 9, 2021. Born February 8, 1938 in Oak Park, IL  to Joseph and Helen Karban. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Pekny); loving father of Regina Karban, Michael (Kimberly) Karban and Anita (William) Karban-Neef; devoted grandfather of Alex (Brittany) and Abbey (Chris); dearest brother of Marie Novotny, Theresa (Bob) Warnke and John Karban; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. All his life, Joe loved flowers and plants of all kinds. In 1975, one of his dreams was realized, when he & Marie purchased a flower shop. Together with their children, they successfully ran Lombard Floral Co, Inc. for over 28 years. Throughout those years, Joe was active in the floral industry, serving in several roles in the Florists’ Transworld Delivery (FTD) Association, representing the interests of retail florists across Illinois and surrounding area. Joe’s  love of flowers extended to the creation of beautiful gardens that graced the landscape of the family residences. He spent many happy hours working on those gardens, often in the company of his beloved Golden Retrievers.
