Joeanne Monroe (nee Chmelik), 78, of Naperville, IL, at rest February 14, 2023. Born September 7, 1944 in Gary, Indiana to Joseph and Ann Helen Chmelik. Beloved wife of Jeffrey; loving sister of Beverly (George) Gauss, Joyce (William) Byan, Joseph (Mari) Chmelik, James “Larry” (Janet) Chmelik and Jerome Chmelik; fond aunt of several nieces and nephews. Joeanne enjoyed reading, movies, musicals and plays. She was extremely generous and volunteered at Loaves and Fishes in Naperville.
