James Robert McKnight, age 69, longtime Hinsdale resident, at rest November 19, 2017 at Hinsdale Hospital. Born November 25, 1947 in Hinsdale, IL to Dana and Elizabeth McKnight. Beloved husband of the late Suzanne; loving father of Jennifer (Ross) and Jessica (Ryan) McKnight; devoted grandfather of Lucinda, Nathan and Connor; dearest brother of Willard (Phyllis) McKnight; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Jim was my closest friend for many years. He was a good, honest, compassionate man who worked hard for his family. He did the best he could and rarely complained.
He had an unusual sense of humor – and just like me, he loved music. We would sit for hours listening to the songs we loved.
He suffered greatly in his final years, but he still communicated with me every day through it all.
When I heard he had passed, a part of me went with him. I can only offer my condolences and prayers to his family. God Bless him – we will miss him greatly.
