James Focosi, 70, of Darien,IL, at rest May 8, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born November 16, 1951 in Chicago, IL to Amerigo Focosi and Mary Matousek. Beloved husband of Diana (nee Mills); loving father of Marissa (David Valerio); dearest grandfather of Ayden and expecting baby James; devoted brother of John and Ron (Loretta) Focosi; dear uncle of Dan, Kristin, John, Tina, Toni, Kelly and Brandon; fond cousin and friend of many. Jim had a great love of the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman especially at Lake Tomahawk, WI. Visitation Sunday May 15, 2022 from 12-3 P.M. followed by Funeral Services at 2:30 P.M. at Cappetta’s West Suburban Funeral Home & Cremation Services 39 N. Cass Ave., Westmont. Interment private. Jim was a great elevator mechanic and foreman, and ran the most organized job sites I’ve ever been on. I know he was not happy when I first came on site to work at USG but he pushed me to do better, and throughout my years at Otis I always appreciated that. To his family, I’m so very sorry for your loss.

So very saddened by this news. I remember Jimmy as kind, easy going, a nice guy. Our families were close and we grew up together. Jim was always there help to out with my Mom, helping us move or paint a room. He will be remembered fondly by many. Family and friends. My sincerest condolences to his wife, daughter, brothers and extended family. Rest in peace…
