Grace Chan, age 50, of Westmont, passed away on September 19, 2024.  Grace was born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1974, the daughter of Yun-Lai Chan and Vicky Chan and is the loving sister of Jason.

She joined Northwestern University’s premed program but graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree to pursue a PhD in history.  Subsequently, Grace got her scholarship and obtained her master’s degree in history from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Grace’s dream was to become a professor and writer.

One of Grace’s favorite hobbies was collecting Hello Kitty toys, and she loved her pet bird.  She was a decent, considerate and kind person.
