Funeral Services for Evelyn Waddell, 94, of Cicero, will be held Monday at 10 A.M. at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Stickney, IL. Ms. Waddell died on Saturday July 21, 2018 at Sunrise Senior Living in Lombard, IL. Services will be followed by a funeral luncheon at Maggianos Little Italy 1847 Freedom Drive in Naperville. Evelyn Chan Waddell was born on May 23, 1924 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Kung Chan and Yung Shee. On January 14, 1945 she married Walter Waddell in Chicago, IL. Ms. Waddell worked at American Can Company for 33 years before retiring in 1985. She was a crossword aficionado and an avid sports fan, and especially loved watching the White Sox and Bears. Survivors include her daughters, Sharon (William) Osuch and Linda Novak; one son Walter Waddell III; one brother Robert (Edith) Chan; five grandchildren, Robert, Elaine, and Paul (Uriah) and Liana (Jeffrey) and Jenna; three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Caden and Nathan; seven nieces and nephews, Gary (Tauna) and Lisa; Warren (Mei) and Stewart (Geneva), Audrey (Matt) and Melissa (Matt), Wendy and their ten children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband. two sisters, Soo Hing Chan and Mabel Fuqua; four brothers, Jimmo Chan, Nimmo Chan, Bing Chan and John Chan and nephew Russell Chan.
