Erin Ann (Kiely) Stuckey, beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, at the age of 45. Erin is survived by her husband, Steve; her children, Haley and Ben; her parents, Henry and Diane Kiely; her sisters, Jessica Cherwin and Melissa Weston; her brother Matthew Kiely; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Born in Park Ridge, IL on November 16, 1980, Erin lived a life defined by love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and educating children. She was the treasured wife of Steven Stuckey, with whom she shared 13 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a home filled with laughter, love, and many wonderful memories.
Erin’s greatest joy was being a mother to her two children, Haley (12) and Benjamin (10). She was their biggest supporter and a constant source of encouragement. Whether attending school and sporting events, helping with homework, or simply spending time together, Erin’s love and devotion shaped their lives in ways that cannot be measured.
Erin’s passion for education began as she grew up in Arlington Heights, IL. Erin graduated from Rolling Meadows high school in 1999. After graduation she attended Illinois State University and earned a degree in Education in 2003. Erin moved back to the Chicago area to begin her career in the City of Chicago and then at Hinsdale Middle School.
Known for her caring personality, humorous nature, and generous spirit, Erin touched the lives of everyone she met. She enjoyed educating children, family vacations, and gathering with her many family members to celebrate special occasions. Her compassion and ability to make others laugh will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, at Cappetta’s West Suburban Funeral Home, 4920 Main St., Downers Grove, IL 60515. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
