Bridie Walsh peacefully passed away on June 21, 2026, at 96 years old surrounded by loved ones. She preceded in passing by her loving husband Patrick Walsh. She leaves behind her daughter, Mary Kilroy, (her husband Mike Kilroy). Her son Patrick Walsh (his wife Carol Walsh) and her daughter Anne Martin. She also leaves behind her beautiful grandchildren Michael Kilroy, Patrick Kilroy, Caitlin Kilroy, Ryan Kilroy, Bridget Martin, Sean Martin, Kyle Martin, Tyler Martin (TJ) and her great grandchildren.

Bridie had a huge love of Ireland, where she was born and raised. She had that same love for the family she left behind, but they always stayed dear to her heart. She came here to America at the age of 20 years old with one suitcase and a dream to build a life here in my America. Bridie worked hard to build a life and she did. Bridie Walsh loves her family deeply. She was a woman who would hold you up if you couldn’t hold yourself up. She was there for so many people. She loved life and she lived it to the fullest. Bridie was kind, caring, loving and courageous.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 9:00am to 11:00am, at Cappetta’s West Suburban Funeral Home, 4920 Main St., Downers Grove, IL 60515. Closing prayers are to commence at 11:00am, followed by a procession from the funeral home to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 820 Division St., Lisle, IL 60532 for an 11:30am Funeral Mass.
