Dolores F. Roback (nee Putrim), 95, of Downers Grove at rest May 12, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Daniel Roback; loving mother of Danny (Lisa) Roback, Michael (Marian) Roback, Sue (Henry) Ferraro and Donna (Steve) Rybinski; cherished grandmother of; Natalie (Joe) Schrimpl, John (Lori)Roback, Danny (Johnna) Roback, Joey (Brittany) Roback, Christopher (Stephanie) Ferraro, Anthony (Kristina) Roback, Nicole (Drew) Himes, Michael Ferraro, and Marissa Rybinski: devoted great-grandmother of Anna, Emma, Abbey, Giada, Drew, Stella, Anthony, Nicolas, Luke, Madison, Miles, Joey and Eddie; dear sister in law of Madeline Putrim; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Best friend of Bernice Trinco for over 93 years. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Sophie Putrim; her sister Dorothy (Joe) Shay and brother Paul Putrim.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Happiness to her was being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved a good Manhattan when getting together with friends and family.
Dolores worked for St. Anthony School and Rectory in Cicero, Illinois as a secretary from the 1970’s before retiring in the late 90’s.
She enjoyed taking small road trips with her husband Dan or playing a good game of UNO or 500 Rummy.
Visitation Tuesday May 20, 2025 from 3-8 P.M. at Cappetta’s West Suburban Funeral Home & Cremation Services 4920 Main St., Downers Grove. Funeral Wednesday May 21 at 9:45 A.M. at the funeral home processing to St. Joan of Arc Church 820 Division, Lisle for a 10:30 Funeral Mass. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. To the Roback family,
I’m so sorry for your loss, you guys. Your family has been in our lives for as far back as playing little league baseball on the Eagles. You guys are a great family , and am so glad to have known you throughout the years. May your Mother rest in peace.
