Bruce William Gentry, passed away suddenly October 7, 2017, in San Diego, CA. Loving son of the late Georgetta Gentry Jablonski, he was born in Chicago on November 14, 1950.  Fond brother to Donald Gentry, Barbara (Bob) Hess, and John Gentry, nephew to the late Jennie Lane.

Bruce enlisted in the United States Army in 1969, continued to serve in the reserves until 1975. He attended Southern Illinois University earning a degree in Communications.  He lived in San Diego for the past 25 years, but remained a faithful sports fan to the Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox.  He enjoyed the outdoors, skiing in Colorado, hiking, and sailing.  With his engaging personality and that great smile, he had so many wonderful friends in Chicago and California.

Inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery on November 16, 2018, at noon. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved mother the same day.
