Adelaide “Ad” Gorman, age 99, at rest October 4, 2017. Beloved wife of 61 years of the late Earl J.; loving mother of Earl J. (Bette Jo) and John (Kathleen) Gorman; devoted grandmother of E.J., Elizabeth, Lynn, Kimberly, Jason and Marisa; dearest great grandmother of Will, Landon, Colin, Cole, Elli, Cooper, Johnny, Teresa, Dylan, Noah, Zoe and Jack; dear aunt of Sue (Ron) Nosek. Adelaide was a secretary at a Patent Attorney in Chicago early in her career. After having a family she chose to stay close to home, working as a secretary to the principal at the Chicago Board of Education Schools. She was an excellent cook, whose specialty was Italian meatballs made from scratch. Adelaide had an outgoing personality, loved a party and was a big Chicago Cub fan, listening to the games on the radio all summer long. Her constant mantra to her sons was “You must get a good education” Memorial Mass Tuesday October 10, 2017 at 10 A.M. at Notre Dame Church 64 Norfolk Ave., Clarendon Hills IL.
