Mitchell “Mitch” Blumfield, 59, of Downers Grove, at rest July 10, 2022. Born May 14, 1963 in Chicago, IL to Harold and Carmella Blumfield. Beloved life partner of Linda Stehli; loving father of Carly (Ligia Hotca) Blumfield; dearest brother of Marian (Scott) Slahor and Laura (John) Meische; dear uncle of Garrett (Ayesha) Wiedlin, Brian (Ieshia) Wiedlin, Tiffany Copher, Tami Burson, Tyler and Taylor Schmidt; dearest great uncle of Lucas, Zoey, Alex, Zy, Austin, Daniel, Ryan, Anthony & Josh. Mitch had a passion for music, movies and estate sales. Most of all Mitch was deeply supportive of his family and attentive to their well-being. He was always there for them, no matter what was going on in his life, right until the very end. Uncle Mitch loved his family. We loved him. There will forever be a huge, heart-shaped piece missing from our little family puzzle. I picture him just crying with happiness as he sees Grandma again and hugs her for eternity.
