Margaret DiTusa, (nee Sproviero) born July 4th, 1935, lovingly known as “Nonnie,” passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026, at the age of 91, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on July 4, 1935, Margaret lived a life defined by love, strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was the heart of her family, a constant source of comfort, wisdom, and support whose presence made every gathering feel like home.

Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dominick DiTusa, affectionately known as “Poppie,” and by her dear sister, Ida-Mae Furlanetto. While her family mourns her passing, they find comfort in the belief that she has now been reunited with Poppie and Ida-Mae in Heaven.

She is survived by her beloved twin sister, Therese Piemonte, with whom she shared a special bond that spanned more than nine decades. Their connection was one of a kind, built on a lifetime of shared memories, laughter, love, and unwavering support. She also leaves behind her cherished godson and nephew, Pasquale DeRosa, son of Therese Piemonte.

Margaret was a loving mother to her two daughters, Margie Logan and Doris Wentzel, and a beloved mother-in-law to Robert Logan. She was also a proud and devoted grandmother to five grandchildren: Margie Wrublik, Dominique Villalobos, Dominick Logan, Doris O’Meara, and Michael Rohr.

Her greatest joy was watching her family grow through the generations. She was blessed with twelve great-grandchildren: Bella Wrublik and Katerina Wrublik; Dominick Villalobos and Antonio Villalobos; Vincent Logan, Gino Logan, and Dominick Logan; Braeden O’Meara and Tessa O’Meara; and Elena Rohr, Vivien Rohr, and Grant Rohr. Each held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Nonnie’s love was often expressed through the memories she created with her family. Her grandchildren fondly remember trips to Dapper’s Restaurant, where she loved spending time with them when they were young. Doctor appointments often turned into adventures, as Nonnie would take her grandchildren to Toys “R” Us afterward, creating moments of joy and excitement that became treasured childhood memories. She had a special gift for making ordinary days feel extraordinary.

She found happiness in the simple things that brought people together. She had a lifelong love for Disney and the magic, wonder, and happiness it represented. She never passed up a slice of Portillo’s famous chocolate cake, one of her favorite treats. She also adored her beloved dogs, Baby Boy and Baby Girl, who brought her comfort, companionship, and unconditional love throughout the years.

Nonnie was also the heart of every family gathering, especially during the holidays. She was an incredible Italian cook whose meals brought everyone together around the table. Her family will forever remember her famous Christmas mussels, a cherished tradition that became a highlight of every holiday season. To those who knew her best, Nonnie was simply the greatest Italian cook they ever knew, and the love she poured into every meal was felt in every bite.

Those who knew Margaret will remember her warm heart, generous spirit, resilience, and the unconditional love she shared so freely. She had a way of making everyone feel welcomed, cared for, and important. While she was endlessly loving and compassionate, she was also famously spunky and had the determination of a true pitbull—fiercely loyal to her family, strong-willed, and never afraid to stand up for the people she loved. Her kindness touched countless lives, and her home was always a place where family came first.

Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing that Nonnie’s journey has brought her home. Reunited with her beloved Poppie and her sister Ida-Mae, she leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her love, her laughter, and the countless memories she created throughout her remarkable life.

Margaret will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of her family and friends.
