My heartfelt and deepest condolences goes out to Weber Family in the loss of Walt. The entire family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of loss 🙏. I remember Walt, my brother in law Save, and I being at my brother in law Dave’s NYE party. The 3 of us went to the McDonald’s on Maple Ave in Lisle doing donuts in the parking lot. Walt will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. Rest in Peace buddy. You will never be forgotten.
Thanks Mark. Those fond memories will stay with us, thanks for sharing that story.
I will miss my brother, Walter. He was a hard man to understand given his personal challenges, but once you got to know him he was a gem. He loved classic rock music and classic cars. He seemed to remember everything he ever read or heard, he had a wicked memory for facts about movies, music, cars, you name it. He was a master of the one-liner and probably could have been a comedy writer. He was quick witted and always amazed me with his ability to come up with a play on words at a moment’s notice. He was a big, big man but I will always remember him as “Small Cousin Walter” a mishearing of “Smoke on the Water” I can’t hear that song without thinking of him. (see kissthisguy.com)
May he rest in peace.
I am very saddened by the passing of my dear cousin Walter. Because we always lived long-distances apart, our paths did not cross often. But when we did meet his positive outlook was evident. We should all cherish the good memories we have of Walter.
Thanks Joe and Maria.
So sorry for the loss of a wonderful friend..Walt was so knowledgeable of cars, radio stations, trivia, events, Lisle and so much more. His warm friendship and character will be missed. Thanks for the memories and all the years of fun and laughter.
Thanks Dave, your friendship meant so much to Walter.
