    George F. Schiffer, age 70, at rest May 16, 2019, longtime resident of Wheaton, IL, proud United States Army veteran during the Vietnam era. Beloved husband of Alice (nee Swords); loving father of Margaret “Maggie” (Robert) Thomson, James (Melanie) and Shawn (Bryan Keller) Schiffer; devoted grandfather of Pierre, Robert, Clara, Elizabeth, Nicholas, and  Alexandra “Lexie”; devoted brother of Theresa (John) Hebior, Marie (the late Frank) Duffy, Mary Pat (the late Mourad) Kayian, and John (Mary Ellen) Schiffer; dear brother-in-law of Vivian (the late Ray) Schiffer; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.     Carol S. Kettering, age 89, at rest April 26, 2019 at her home in Clarendon Hills, where she resided the past 58 years. Carol was born March 3, 1930 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to John and Clara Seefeldt, She is survived by her sister Ethel,  daughter Kim, three grandchildren Lisa, Karin and Maria; six great grandchildren, nieces Linda, Paula, Vicki, Lynn and nephew Peter. She was preceded in death by her son William in 1969. The family would like to thank her caregiver Rufina from Independence 4 Seniors for the kind and compassionate care provided over the past three and one-half years, and St. Thomas Hospice for their care over the past year. There will be a private service. For those wishing to send an expression of condolence, the family suggests memorials in her name to the Clarendon Hills Library or the Arthritis Foundation.     Robert J. Domrose, age 78, suddenly, at rest April 30, 2019, longtime resident of the Westmont/Clarendon Hills area. Born January 4, 1941 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Geraldine Domrose. Beloved husband of Gloria nee DeMarco; loving father of Jacqueline (Ron) Price and Geraldine (Michael) Riemma; devoted grandfather of Annalee, Charlotte, Wyatt and Zelda; dearest brother of Joan (Robert) Weaver and Jane Domrose; dear uncle of Anthony & the late Alec Salerno, Margie and Deanna Eckel. Bob is also survived by one aunt and close friend, Terry Bladek of Tampa, FL, many wonderful cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews and countless friends of a lifetime. He was a retired pipefitter of UA Local 597. Bob was an avid skier and his greatest pleasure was teaching his daughters and grandchildren how to downhill ski. He was a longtime member of Piccadilly Ski Club in Downers Grove. Special thanks to Dr. Tony Pangan M.D., Loyola Medicine, for so many years of keeping Bob in great health.  Memorial Visitation Saturday May 11, 2019, 11 A.M. at Church of the Holy Nativity with Memorial Services at noon at Church of the Holy Nativity 275 S. Richmond Ave., Clarendon Hills (corner of 55th St. and Richmond Ave.).
