Zygmunt Baran, 73 years old, of Lisle, Illinois passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Monday, December 8, 2025. Zygmunt was the loving and cherished husband to Lucy (nee Samek) Baran. Caring son to the late Czeslawa (nee Janczak) Baran and Eugieniusz Baran. Proud father of Barbara (Basia) Baran and Yvonne (Andrew) Jablonski. Cherished uncle to the late Marlon (Zbys) Kasprzyk, Renee Kasprzyk, Kyle Kasprzyk, and Shilo Martinson. Beloved brother-in-law to Mary (Glenn) Berry. Loving cousin of Wiesiek (Ala) Bartkowski. Affectionate brother to Inka Bolanowski, Tadek Janczak, and Kazek Baran (deceased). Most importantly, perhaps, the adored grandfather to Julia Jablonski who was the light of his life that he spent endless hours playing with and talking to.
Zygmunt was a gifted musician who loved performing (primarily on the saxophone but also several other instruments) and his career included work as an electrical engineer. He loved nothing more than spending time with his wife, Lucy, as well as family and friends.
