William L. Kurz, 93, longtime resident of Downers Grove, at rest December 16, 2024. Proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Born March 29, 1931, in Chicago, IL to Leo and Jeannette Kurz. Beloved husband of the late Sophia “Sue” (nee Pauper); loving father of Andrea (Jerry Palmer) Kurz; devoted grandfather of Matthew Flores; dearest brother of Barbara Bailey; fond cousin of many. William was devoted to his Catholic faith and was a wonderful husband and father.  He enjoyed skiing, locally at Wilmot Mountain, and in Aspen and Vail, Colorado.
