Timothy Raymond Zindrick, age 63, of Downers Grove, passed away on May 23, 2025.
Born December 10, 1961, Tim was a proud second-generation electrician and lifelong member of IBEW Local 134. He carried on his family’s trade with dedication, integrity, and a quiet strength that defined much of his life. He was raised just down the block on Prairie Avenue, with his sister Monica, by his loving parents, Ray and Ethel Zindrick, and he remained deeply rooted in the community throughout his life.
Loyal, stoic, and quick with a dry joke, Tim was a man of substance who cared deeply for his family and the people close to him. He had a deep love for the outdoors, particularly fishing—a passion he developed in childhood during trips with his father and Uncle Bud, and one that remained his favorite pastime throughout his life.
Tim had a unique sense of style: equally at home in a cut-off tee and Red Wing boots or dressed sharp for a night out. He enjoyed local festivals, bowling, good music, and the company of lifelong friends. A lover of simple joys, some of the family’s fondest memories are of card games and laughter around the kitchen table.
Tim cherished time spent traveling to Florida, where he found peace walking along the beach. He was not one for excess, but he believed in the richness of shared experiences—always happiest when making memories with the people he loved most.
Above all, Tim will be remembered as a great man—one who lived with quiet strength, who cared deeply, and who always wanted the best for those around him. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, sister, brother-in-law, loving companion, niece, nephews, cousins and all those who loved him most. Timothy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A public funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 11:30 AM at St. Mary’s of Gostyn Church, 445 Prairie Avenue, Downers Grove, IL. There will be no visitation.
