Terrence (“Terry”) J. Lenkart, 87 years old, of Aurora, suddenly passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025.  Terry was the devoted husband of 60 years to his beloved wife, Carol (née Schrimmenti). He was the cherished son of Anna (née Krushas) and Joseph Lenkart, and the loving brother of the late Cecilia, the late Kenneth, Joan, and Tom.

Terry was an exceptional father to John (Julie) and Steve (Jessica), and a proud grandfather to Josephine, Madeline, Ian, and Quinn. He was also a beloved cousin and uncle, and a loyal friend to many across the years — and to their children, and even their children’s children.

Terry loved his family and friends unconditionally and was a lifelong Notre Dame football fan. An avid golfer and reader of history, Terry brought warmth, humor, and integrity to every relationship. His kindness and steady presence left a lasting impression on everyone who had the good fortune to know him.

A funeral mass for Terry will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, November 8^th, 2025 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 701 S Eola Rd, Aurora, IL 60504.
