Ruth was a spitfire and always brought positive energy into everything she did. She will be sorely missed at the Westmont Rotary Club meetings & events but her memory will live on forever with the Irv & Ruth Kaplan Service Above Self Award. Rest in Peace Ruth.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ruth Kaplan, a remarkable woman whose warmth, integrity, and dedication touched the lives of so many. Ruth’s vibrant spirit and tireless service to her community and Rotary that will never be forgotten.
Ruth gave her heart generously and was cherished in return by all who had the joy of knowing her. Her devotion to Rotary International and her decades of service reflect her unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. The naming of the Ruth and Irv Kaplan Service Above Self Award is a fitting tribute to her and Irv’s enduring contributions to Westmont Rotary and the ideals it represents.
Ruth lived with passion, honesty, and kindness. She spoke her truth with strength and clarity, but always with grace. Her ability to love fully made her a true light in the lives she touched.
Our hearts amd prayers are with Irv and the entire Kaplan and Suderski families. May the countless memories of Ruth’s love, laughter, and generosity bring comfort and peace during this difficult time.
With deepest sympathy,
Larry and Rae Forssberg
