Robert “Bob” Lemke, 91, longtime resident of Downers Grove, at rest February 12, 2025. Born July 29, 1933 in Chicago, IL to Otto and Myrtle Lemke. Beloved husband of Marilyn nee Stigberg; loving father of Robert (Diane) Lemke and Karen (Thomas) Stevens; devoted grandfather of Kristen, Brian (Aisling) and Allison Lemke, Jamie and Jack Stevens; dear brother of Donald and Leroy Lemke; fond great grandfather, uncle and great uncle of many.  As a CPS school teacher and curriculum advisor for nearly 40 years, as well as local DG youth sports coach and volunteer, Bob’s work made a positive impact on countless youth and their families.  Visitation Monday February 17, 2025 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. at Cappetta’s West Suburban Funeral Home 4920 Main St., Downers Grove, followed by 12 P.M. Funeral Services at the funeral home. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mercy Home for Boys & Girls 1140 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL 60607
