In Loving Memory of Rita Pontillo
Rita Ann Pontillo, born on June 17, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 28. She was a cherished daughter of Virginia and the late Louis, sister of Debra, Louis, and the late Regina, aunt of Nicole, Jackie, Jessica, Jennifer, Louis, Katia and Jamie; cousin, niece, godmother, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love.
Rita’s life was a testament to the beauty of kindness, patience, and a great sense of humor. Her infectious smile was a beacon of light that touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Rita’s compassion extended beyond people; she was a dedicated lover of animals, and leaves behind her beloved cat Cashmere, who also mourns her absence.
As we say our goodbyes, let us remember Rita Ann for the love she shared, the kindness she brought, and the warmth that radiated from her every smile. In this time of grief, let us also celebrate a life well-lived and a soul that will forever live on in our hearts.
May she rest in eternal peace.
A Prayer for Rita
May you find comfort in the night
and may the dawn find you at peace.
May God’s presence come to light
and all your struggles cease.
May you be filled with our love
and may your spirit soar.
May you find a greater sense of joy
than you have ever known before!
- A prayer from a friend
