Nancy Peters (nee Terry), 92, of Lombard, at rest July 7, 2022. Born April 3, 1930  in White Horse PA to Jackson and Gwendolyn Terry. Lieutenant Peters proudly served her country as a nurse in the United States Navy from 1953-1955, during which time  she met her husband, Jim, at Corona Naval Hospital in Corona CA. They were married on May 9, 1954. Nancy had many experiences in her nursing career, most notably working at the National Institute of Health and also at the American Embassy in Tokyo. She is survived by her beloved husband Jim; loving children Kathleen (Paul) Redington, Ann Robertson, James S. (Jennifer) and Daniel J. (Kristin) Peters; devoted grandchildren Shaun (Kerry) Nelson. Shawn (Joseph) Westfall, Kelsey (Michael) Bradt, Daniel (Genevive), Matthew and Maria Robertson, Anna, John, Sarah and Michael Peters. Dex Jones and Nathan Peters and seven great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Peggy and one brother, Larry. Family and friends are asked to meet Wednesday July 20, 2022 for a 10 A.M. Funeral Mass at Christ the King Church 1501 Main St., Lombard. Interment, with full military honors ,will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery 20953 Hoff Rd., Elwood, IL.
