Michael L. Hopp Sr. “Hoppey”, 76, of Westmont, former longtime resident of Elmwood Park, IL, at rest June 9, 2025. Mike proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam era. He was born in Chicago, IL on December 21, 1948 to Albert and Beverly Hopp. Beloved husband of Cathleen (nee Hiebel); loving father of Michael and Patrick; devoted grandfather of Danielle and Vincent; dearest brother of Patricia Roche, Sandra Hoffman and Renee Hopp; dear brother-in-law to Thomas and Debbie Hiebel, also Tricia Licata and the late Mary Ellen Hiebel and Dan Donati; fond uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews. Mike was formerly employed with GM-EMD, Turano Baking Co, and Geos Pizza. He was a passionate drag racer, old car enthusiast and mopar fanatic.
