James McGuffey, 72 years old, of Naperville, passed away on Friday December 12th, 2025 after battling a long illness.
Jim was a loving husband to Debra (nee Mathauser). Beloved son to the late Jacqueline & James McGuffey. Cherished brother to Sharon (nee McGuffey) Roth. Brother in law to Susan (Robert) Winters, and Julie Ness. Loving father to Bradley, Christopher (Amanda), Samantha (Fidel) Chavez. Proud uncle to Kevin (Beth) Roth, Erin (Stewart) Relyea, Patricia (Joseph) Marszalek. Adoring grandfather to Hailee, Kendall, Deklan, Anthony, and Emma. Great Uncle to Dean, William, Oliver, Natalie, James and Olivia.
He attended Downers Grove South and Western University. Then went to work for various Tire Companies and drove a school bus for neurodivergent children. Jim’s hobbies were his cars and building model tanks (1/35th scale).
