 Jack L. Springmire, aged 67, passed away unexpectedly on June 15th, 2025. He was born on October 20th, 1957 in Rochelle, Illinois. The son of Leslie and Deanie (Roberts) Springmire. Jack was an alum of Columbia College where he studied radio broadcasting. He worked in many different fields throughout his life culminating as an award-winning field agent for the Knights of Columbus. One common thread through all his paths was his ability to create lasting connections and friendships wherever he walked. Jack will be remembered for his selfless spirit, his infectious smile, unyielding enthusiasm, and fierce ability to light up a room when he walked in. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Penny Stivers. 

He is survived by his loving life partner, Nancy Mikeworth of Woodridge, Illinois, four children: Patrick (Hannah) Springmire of Chicago, Illinois; Bridget Springmire of Geneva, Illinois; Conor Springmire of Chicago, Illinois, and Brennan Springmire of Downers Grove, Illinios; two step-children Laura (Jeff Bono) Mikeworth of Mequon, Wisconsin and Tim (Sarah) Mikeworth of Lake Zurich, Illinois; his siblings Peter (Christel) Springmire and Jill (Kerry) Peterson; and mother of his children, Ellen Walsh.

Memorial Visitation will be held from 3 – 8 pm on Friday, June 20th at Cappetta’s West Suburban Funeral Home (4920 Main Street, Downers Grove, IL 60515). Family and friends are asked to meet Saturday, June 21st, 2025 at St. Scholastica Church for a 10 A.M. Memorial Mass (7800 Janes Avenue, Woodridge, IL 60517). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Illinois State Council Knights of Columbus Charities.
