Francis R. LeBrun III, 72, of Brookfield, IL passed away on March 2, 2025 after battling a long enduring illness. Francis was the beloved son to the late Lorraine (nee Orum) and the late Patrick McNally. Francis and his former spouse, Carol Dal Porto, remained close friends throughout their lives together. Francis was the loving father to Heather LeBrun-Paveza and the devoted grandfather to Gemma. Dearest brother of Sandra (the late Stephen) Scaramuzzo and Sharon LeBrun. Proud uncle to Shelley (Mark) Onstad and the late Scott Scaramuzzo.

Fran was an avid Chicago sports fan, astronomy hobbyist, lover of fast cars, especially Corvettes. As a music enthusiast, Francis taught himself how to play the guitar. One of the Francis’s unique hobbies was collecting prehistoric fossils. He would never dream of missing his cherished granddaughter Gemma’s soccer games or wheel gymnastics practices. He attended Lyons Township High School where he made many lifelong friends. He went on to the University of Illinois and then to the University of Chicago where received his masters degree in business before embarking on his long career as a financial analyst.

Francis will be remembered fondly for his kind heart, gentle soul, helpful nature and his soft spot for animals. He will forever be deeply missed by his loving family and wonderful friends.
