Everett were married on August 18th, 1962, at St. Anthony’s Church in Cicero Illinois. They bought their first home in 1969 in Clarendon Hills, Illinois and lived there happily for 32 years raising three children.
Growing up Elaine was very fond of playing cards and eventually when she met her husband George, they both enjoyed the mathematical challenge of playing bridge and continued to enjoy playing with friends for many years. Eventually, Elaine continued her passion with bridge and became a life master’s level bridge player in the American Contract Bridge League, she played against Warren Buffet and Bill Gates in live tournaments and later enjoyed playing with people throughout the country online almost every day up until her passing.
Elaine also loved to bowl and enjoyed being a part of local bowling leagues most of her life, in the 1970’s she finished in the top 10 Illinois state tournament at Willowbrook Bowl.
Elaine also loved reading and was a ferocious reader with hundreds and hundreds of book collections. She poured through the great writers and then became fascinated with detective novels such as Agatha Christie, John Grisham, Patricia Cornwell, and James Patterson.
Elaine and George moved the entire family to Fourqueux France in 1976, the family lived there for a few years and had great adventures all over Europe. Elaine and George were so excited to teach their children about other countries, cultures, and languages.
In the mid 80’s Elaine became a realtor and joined Coldwell Banker and enjoyed a successful career and loved being able to find the perfect home for her friends and family.
Elaine had a beautiful marriage to George, and she was devastated by his passing in 2001, but during that time she took solace in her first grandchild Emeline who was just under a year old. Elaine became a devoted grandmother doting all her extra time and attention on her three grandchildren Emeline, Jacqueline, and Christine. Elaine loved and adored her grandchildren immensely and spent every moment she could taking them to water parks, movies, Chuckie Cheese, and sleepovers.
Elaine was so very proud of her 100% Lithuanian heritage. She loved her Lithuanian culture and enjoyed cooking Lithuanian dishes to share with her family.

Elaine shopped every birthday and xmas at Stephen’s Dept. Store (Westmont) for George. We carried Big Man sizes and George found a place to shop. Soon as a duplicate bridge player, Elaine & I crossed paths 3 0r 4 times a week as we played the game we loved to achieve Life Master Status. We both achieved and we continued to play,& play &play… We also shared a joy for film. We spent many after bridge sessions trying to recreate a Siskel & Ebert debate. I was always Ebert. I haven’t seen Elaine since COVID but her passing this week has flooded my memory bank with so many moments we shared as competitors, film geeks and good friends. In the refrain from BOB HOPE…Elaine I say “THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES”
My deepest condolences to you all on the passing of your mother. I’m sending my love and thoughts to Michelle, Kerry, and Scott during this difficult time. What I remember most about your mom was her warm smile and amazing skin.
