Edmund Luther Fredericks, 76, of Lombard, at rest November 21, 2025. Ed is survived by his children; Edward (Minako) Fredericks, Eric (Nora) Fredericks and Kelly (Tom) Svestka; grandchildren, Lewis, Kenneth and Alena Fredericks, Alicia Joechle, Sandy & Eric Jr. Fredericks and Aubrey Love Reyes; great grandchildren, AJ and Audrey Montes; sister Diane (the late Richard) Guske; niece Amy (Dave) Riess and the late Christopher Grellner; great niece Hannah Riess and his partner in life for the past 30 years, Cary Evans. Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Hannah, sister Florence Fredericks, and the mother of his children Veronica Serocki. Ed proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, during the Vietnam era. He was an extremely hard worker and worked midnights for most of his life. He loved the night life till the very end! Ed was a good cook, loved to read and had a strong command of the English language. He loved to engage in deep conversations while using almost every word in the dictionary. Ed loved to race cars and was especially fond of Cadillacs.
