It is Easter Mom, the first Holiday without you. We will remember you Mom for all the special meals you prepared for us even though we would make fun about how long it took for you to finish eating.
Embedded in my mind will be the smell of cigs and freshly percolated Coffee.
I will cherish my childhood and adult Christmases spent with you and Grandma Lottie. They were a riot and very special.
I will remember how you supported your ex William and us as his health declined.
My mother was friendly to all. She was kind, caring, compassionate and absolutely hated Trump!
My mom had many special friends who she loved. She was always on the phone talking with somebody about everything and nothing.
My Mom spent more time worrying about her children than she worried for herself.
I was lucky to be able to spend much time with you Mom the last few years. I know you too enjoyed our trips to the movies. Our last movie we saw together was so sweet (Jo Jo Rabbit). Sorry Mom we didn’t get to watch it on DVD like we talked about. I will watch it and think about you.
Rest in peace Carol Virginia. I cried as I wrote this. You will be forever in my heart.
I will finish from the ending quote from that last movie.
Let everything happen to you.
Beauty and terror.
Just keep going.
No feeling is final.
