As a member of the Indian Hill Hockey Club, I skated with Tony for many years. Tony always had a smile on his face and everyone enjoyed him. We’ve missed him the last few years. As President of the club it’s very nice to see that he was able to receive the honorary jersey before his passing.
The club sends it’s condolences to his family and friends.
Indian Hill Hockey Club Members.
We are heartbroken learning about the passing of our beloved friend Tony B. We went to grade school together at Resurrection Parish. Tony would ride his bike to North Avenue Beach during the summer. He was a great cyclist. We went on a fishing trip to Arkansas and although I got sick and puked, Tony was an excellent angler. He worked all night with the railroad and once off work, he was on the ice playing hockey. Every year, the first Saturday in May, we all knew where Tony was, Louisville KY at the Derby. In addition to being an avid sportsman, he was the most kind and caring man we have ever known. If you were down, Tony was there pulling you up. Although our hearts are broken, it was our honor and privilege to call you friend. Deepest condolences to the Basalone family. The Hulsman family ❤️
