Alvin J. “Al” Doubet, 90, of Westmont, at rest August 15, 2025. Proudly served his country in the Unites States Air Force as a sergeant for nearly four years. Born November 29, 1934 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Alvin and Beulah Doubet. Beloved husband of 63 years of Carol (nee Lissy); loving father of Steve and Denise Doubet; fond uncle of nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his brother, Melvin. Al had a 30 year career as a letter carrier in the United States Post Office, Downers Grove branch, where he won multiple awards recognizing his fine service. He loved helping his family and friends and even helped his son build his house. He had a great sense of humor and was a great dancer. Many of the things Al enjoyed were riding his bicycle almost daily, roller skating, boating, water skiing, golfing, snow skiing and bowling. Interment private.
