Raymond Charles Visnevac
Raymond Charles Visnevac, 68, of Chicago, passed away Feb. 26, 2026. He was born on March 10, 1957, in Chicago, to the late George and Evelyn Visnevac, and grew up in a large, lively family that shaped the warm and generous man he would become. Raymond was a devoted long-time companion to Cathy Milner, whose partnership brought him great joy and comfort throughout the years. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Terry Visnevac and Janet Prader; and his nephew Benjamin Visnevac.
Raymond is survived by his daughter, Lainie Roderick; his siblings, Nora Visnevac, Mildred Rowe (Phillip), and Elaine Kajor (Edward); his nieces and nephews, John Davis, Marse Visnevac, Karina Kilma, Evie Rosado, Eric Prader, Janet McKay (Brad), Joseph Kajor; and his great-nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Gersch, Paige Visnevac, Eddie Visnevac, Jeremy Visnevac, Marse Visnevac, Trynity Fiore, Taylor Visnevac, and many great-great-nieces and nephews who will miss his presence dearly.
A loving brother, a great friend, and a proud Chicagoan at heart, Raymond had a deep love for his city and could share endless knowledge about Lake Michigan, its landmarks, and the architecture that shaped the city’s skyline. A dedicated and meticulous plumber, he was a true perfectionist who took great pride in his work and mentored many in the trade. He was generous by nature, cared deeply for those he loved, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. His memory will live on in the joy and wonderful moments he leaves behind.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Cappetta’s West Suburban Funeral Home, 4920 Main St., Downers Grove, Il 60515 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, with Chapel Services to commence at 3:00pm.
