Evangeline A. Oskvarek (nee Dragel), 86, of Woodridge, at rest January 7, 2023. Born September 14, 1936 in Chicago, IL to Nicholas and Mildred Dragel. Beloved wife of the late Wendell; loving mother of Cheryl, Sean (Deborah) and the late Wendell Scott Oskvarek; devoted grandmother of Jason, Nicholas, Jake, Luke, Wendell Scott, Christopher, Jeremy and Tara; dearest great grandmother of Nicholas and Kaylee; dear sister-in-law of Renee Tucci; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Evangeline enjoyed traveling, especially to Costa Rica and Florida. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Woodridge and Downers Grove and also participated in her Bible Study Group in Downers Grove. Evangeline had a passion for animals. She also greatly enjoyed keeping in touch with her lifelong high school friends. Interment private. A luncheon, celebrating Evangeline’s life will be announced at a future date.
