Carrie Rose Rice nee Wedel; age 65, at rest September 11, 2020. Loving mother of Jennifer (Rick) Winters, Jason (Maria) Rice and Cheree Rice (BJ Macias), loving step-mother of Deena (Rice) Wilkes; devoted grandmother of Dustin, Taylor, Gabriel, Jacob, Kyra, Lillian, Kingston and Grayson; dearest sister of Kevin Wedel; dear friend of Cathy Letza and her Fur-babies (dogs),  Peanut, Pinky and Pixie. Carrie was born in Chicago on April 11, 1955. Daughter to Bruce and Delores Wedel. She was a graduate of Carl Shurz High School and a member of the Paradise Bay Pool Pals. Her hobbies included swimming, gardening, crafting and bargain hunting. Carrie enjoyed concerts, traveling, camping, nature and wildlife. She especially enjoyed feeding the local wildlife (birds, squirrels and chipmunks) as well as spending time caring for her pets, playing games, reading and watching movies. She loved celebrating holidays, sending greeting cards and sprinkling others with joy and kindness. Carrie had a bright and funny personality and was a friend to everyone.
