Dagmar Bergquist, aged 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Downers Grove, Illinois. She carried the warmth of her Swedish homeland in her heart throughout her life. Dagmar was a beacon of light to all who knew her, always extending a hand of friendship and a smile that could brighten the darkest days. Her life was a tapestry of the many roles she cherished— devoted Mother, adored Grandmother, Great Grandmother and a friend to many.

She is survived by her 3 loving children- Eric Bergquist of Hinsdale, IL, Paul Bergquist of Scottsdale, AZ and Terri Doney of Hinsdale, IL, her 7 loving grandchildren, her 3 loving great grandchildren and a community of friends whose lives she touched with her generous spirit and unwavering compassion.

A celebration of Dagmar’s life will be held at Patriot Park Downers Grove, IL at a future date. where family and friends are invited to share memories and honor the journey of a remarkable woman who lived life to the fullest. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Food Pantry of Downers Grove Charity, a cause close to Dagmar’s heart. Her spirit will continue to guide us, and her memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
