Zofia Dziura (nee Szwajka), 87, of Downers Grove peacefully passed away with her family by her side on July 29^th, 2024. Zofia was born May 13^th, 1937, in Plawo, Poland to the late Agnieszka (nee Lopaciuch) and Jan Szwajka. Zofia was the loving wife to the late Jan Dziura. Cherished mother of Elizabeth (Lubomir) Krajtl, Lucyna Zielinski, Jerzy Lange Dziura (Agnieszka), Barbara Begalowski (Edward Miroslaw). Devoted grandmother to Ania (Daniel) Breau, Martha (Randy) Bakos, Kamil (Angelica) Zielinski, Piotr (Marta) Lange, Alicia Begalowski (Mario Lozano), Bartek Lange (Kasia Bartkowiak) and Patrick Begalowski. Loving great grandmother to Daitona Jordyn (DJ) Jaxsin Dean and Airick Cash Bakos, Sofia Ellen Breau, Grace Eloise Breau and Apolonia Maria Lange. Fond aunt of Miroslaw and Krzysztof Lapinski.

Zofia was a strong loving gentle woman who did not refrain from speaking her mind. She enjoyed cooking and preparing wonderful meals for her friends and family. Knitting and crocheting all kinds of clothes, scarves, hats and gloves for family members was Zofia’s favorite pastime along with watching her favorite TV programs like the news, weather and “Wheel of Fortune”. Zofia was an avid traveler, she visited many places such as Italy, The Holy Land and Hawaii to name a few. Zofia had many friends around the world, and she will be remembered as a wonderful people person among all of them. Her amazing heart was filled with so much love and joy, that will be forever missed but always remembered.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 10th, 2024 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Cappetta’s West Suburban Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 39 N. Cass Ave., Westmont, IL 60515.
