Our Very sincere sympathy’s to my cousins Ken & Andy & their wonderful wives in the passing of their dearest Father. (Uncle Ted to me) Ted was a giving, very sincere, patient & honest man. A spiritual Husband & Father. He was always calm & kind, a deep thinker that raised his sons in this same way. He saw the bright side of a dark storm & made lemonade out of a lemon situation. He will be greatly missed ( as is Francy) God bless you all as you traverse this life bridge.
“Go easy”, dad. Thank you for everything! You’ve done great!
How do you sum up a lifetime of memories in just a few sentences? This week we’ve heard from so many who have either cared for Ted or knew him as their neighbor and how nice and kind he was. For me, his daughter in law, he was a storyteller, a cub fan, builder of things, and just “dad.” I loved surprising him with Oregon blueberries when we would come for his birthday and him telling me about where he grew up and would go into woods to find wild blueberries. He shared his love for the environment, stories of his childhood, and sharing articles he read from Time magazine. I’ll miss his hugs and tons of kisses when we would arrive and every day until we had to go back home. He missed Fran terribly and for every family gathering would shed a tear over her empty chair. Today, May 15th, they reunite on their anniversary which warms my heart even if it means another empty chair at our family table.
