Steven LaBuda, 57, of Lemont, suddenly at rest March 19, 2024. Beloved son of Elaine and the late Raymond LaBuda; loving brother of Edith (Michael) Boon; dearest uncle of Heather and Matthew Boon; dear nephew of Kathy (Larry) Dyjak, Marge LaBuda; Eileen Kelly, the late Betty LaBuda, Eleanore (the late Al) Lyczak, and the late Tom Lenart, Christine Kirk, and Larry (Gail) Lenart; fond cousin of many.  Steve attended St. Joseph Grammar School and Downers South High School where he played football. He had a passion for physics, especially research, and was employed at Argonne National Labs in Lemont and had a deep love of wildlife. Steve was very pro-America, was deeply devoted to his country and believed deeply in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. Above all,  he had a deep knowledge and was well versed in the history and theology of the Catholic Church.  Memorial Visitation Tuesday March 26, 2024 from 10 -11 A.M at St. Joseph Catholic Church 4801 Main St, Downers Grove, Funeral Mass to follow at 11 A.M.  Inurnment Holy Family Cemetery, Downers Grove.
