Mary E. Wolfe (nee Sohm), 96, died peacefully December 5 at her daughter’s home in Westmont, Ill., surrounded by her family. Mary was born on April 18, 1927, in Quincy, Ill., the daughter of George and Isabelle (Terwische) Sohm. She married John E. Wolfe on October 15, 1949, in Decatur, Ill. He preceded her in death on September 25, 1997. Mary was the loving mother to Gregory (the late Friedel), Stephen (Susan), David (Jo), Ellen, Mark (Joni), the late Michael, Christopher (Ruthann), Anne (Jim) Kish, and Matthew (Susan). Loving grandmother to 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving sister Rita Ackrill and brother, Fr. John Sohm. A Memorial Mass will be held on December 9 at 9:30 a.m. at St. John Vianney Church 46 N. Wolf Rd., Northlake, Ill. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John Vianney Parish 46 N.
