Thomas Becvar
Thomas Becvar, 74, of Plainfield former longtime resident of Lemont, at rest suddenly March 7, 2024. Tom was a proud United States Army veteran. Beloved husband of the late Cheryl, loving longtime companion of Denise Ottomanelli; cherished father of Karen (Jeff) Mann; devoted grandfather of Maximus and Ryan; dear brother of Jimmy and the late Ruthie, Frankie, Janet, Charlie, and Lillian; fond uncle of Tommy, Johnny, Cindy, Kimmy and many others. Tom was a former patrolman, training officer and detective with the Berwyn Police Dept from 1979 to 2010. He was also a hearse driver for many years, serving many Chicagoland funeral homes. Tom was an avid fisherman and loved fishing with his grandsons, whom he was so proud of. He also enjoyed golfing and was a devoted Cubs fan. Visitation Monday March 11, 2024 from 3-8 P.M. at Cappetta’s West Suburban Funeral Home 4920 Main St., Downers Grove. Military Honors Service 7 P.M. Tom was such a wonderful man. I’ve known him for years, through my brother and the police department. He was funny, loving and caring. He’s gone too soon!
He introduced me to your mom and I hired her at Watermark/MacNeal. She was amazing.. loved her so much.
It brings me some comfort knowing that they’re back together.
