Proud veteran of the United States Navy, Submarine Services, during the Vietnam era.     James Francis Brennan, age 94, of Clarendon Hills, Illinois, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 with his beloved wife of 66 years, Therese (Tierney), and his children by his side: Therese (Patrick) Lupton; Mary (Scott) Smith; James Francis Brennan III; Julie Ann Brennan; David (Joan) Brennan; John (Anne) Brennan; Catherine (Robert) Napier; Agnes (Daniel) Dufficy; Joseph (Patricia) Brennan; and Patricia Ann Brennan. James is preceded in death by his dear granddaughter Eileen Shea Lupton, and his parents James and Catherine Brennan. He is survived by 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: Rev. Brendan Lupton, Elizabeth Lupton Moore, Tierney Brennan, Connor Brennan, Murphy Brennan, Ryan Brennan, Hettie Brennan, John Brennan, Jr., Tess Brennan, Catherine Napier, Olivia Napier, Robert Napier, James Napier, Shea Dufficy, Fiona Dufficy, Tierney Dufficy, Joseph Brennan, Nicholas Brennan, Teresa Brennan and Maria Brennan; and great-grandchildren Scarlett Moore and Austin Moore. James is survived by his sisters Catherine Rohn, Patricia Brennan, and Rosemary Borris; and many nieces and nephews.

    A World War II veteran who served in the Pacific, James loved his faith, family and fellowship. We will love and miss him forever. Dad, may the road rise to meet you.  (A funeral Mass was held on March 17, 2017 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, in Clarendon Hills, Illinois. Burial followed at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.)

  9. Gregory “Greg” Groszek


    Gregory “Greg” Groszek, age 68, of Woodridge, IL, lost his battle with brain cancer and passed away on March 2, 2017 at Chateau Village in Willowbrook. Greg is survived by his dearest friend Daryl Straight, his daughters Jen and Lisa, granddaughters Kaylee and Isabella, grandson Frankie, great granddaughter Avery, sister Janice Laff , brother Jack Groszek and many loving nieces and nephews and extended family. Greg was a loving, selfless father, grandfather, brother and friend to all. Greg had a very close relationship with God and dedicated his life to helping people in need through various volunteer groups at St. Scholastica. He was also a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus Robert P. Connelly Council #5918, where he developed long lasting friendships. Greg is now at peace in heaven with his parents, Frank and Loretta and brothers Frank and Ken. Visitation Monday March 6, from 4-9 P.M. at West Suburban Funeral Home & Cremation Services 39 N.     Born September 8, 1997


    Brendan, formerly of Westmont, better known by Dingle, was called to go on a new journey on February 16, 2017 in Austin, TX.  God’s social butterfly who never met a stranger, touched every race, creed, color, gender, and sexual orientation with love and warmth.  Approaching all people with love and generosity, we loved him back.  God blessed this planet with Brendan for 19 short years.  However his smile, laughter and memories will live on forever in the thousands of fortunate hearts who knew him.  Guiding Brendan in his new supernatural journey are his late grandparents, Walter Dingle (Indianapolis), Mattie Lee (Indianapolis),  St. Ore Hubert Joseph (St. Lucia), and Genevieve White (Indianapolis).  Beloved families member sending love from earth are his mother, DaShawn Dingle; his father and wife Mr. & Mrs. Jathan D’ esir; his brothers Jathan Jr., Artist and Falcon; his sister Kayla and nephew Zayden; aunts  Candiace, Kellen-Jade, Brittany, Antionette, April, Kurll, Petal, Sherissa- Lynn, Clementine; uncles  Ivan, Louis, Errol and Anthony Dingle; and Ultra-spoiling Grandparents  Jerry Dingle, Trina Dingle, Suzan and Stanley Harris.
